Spring Cookies
Here’s my newest experiment in the kitchen. They were in celebration of spring but then it started snowing. Eh. I’m not complaining! =) I know there are a lotta pictures of these, but I didn’t know which were my favorite- and this collection is actually quite pared down from the original set. Aw, aren’t they cute little things?

Blast from the Past

Just returned to this old post and revisited the blog post; loved seeing a bunch of new comments there that I hadn’t seen since I last visited. So I thought it’d be fun to repost this old blog entry from way back when:
I received an email today from Amy Atlas, one of the premier party planners and dessert designers of NYC, asking me if I would mind sending her some pictures from my website so she could feature me on her blog. Of course I was happy to oblige! Amy is someone who’s work I have admired since discovering her a little more than a year ago. She has been featured in some of the country’s biggest magazines and has an amazing style.
I love her reference to the Grateful Dead in the post about Sugared Magnolia as well! =)
Thanks, Amy!

Sub-featured!
Because of Persimmon Floral’s fine work (Thanks, Megan Dunford) I was able to sneak in behind Megan in getting what I am terming “sub-featured”. The real show stoppers here are Megan’s flowers. However, I got credit for the cake and photography (the cake picture on the site is raw; it really wasn’t gray in real life, so please excuse
. Pretty stoked for Megan, and sub-stoked for me! Check out the photography, flowers and cake!
And if you want to see more of Megan’s work, please visit Persimmon Floral.

Office Hero
Let’s start things off right with a contest, shall we?
Sugared Magnolia was born of Twitter, so it only makes sense that the contest would include my favorite social media outlet
Tweet us (@sugaredmagnolia) with the reason why your next office meeting is in dire need of fresh baked goodness. You may have been eating from the same supermarket party tray the last five years, perhaps the upcoming meeting is one you really need to make an impression in or maybe everyone is preparing to stare daggers at you for scheduling a meeting on the finest ski day known to man.
Whatever the reason, post it in 140 or less on twitter. Come back here and let us know you posted (quality assurance!). If you don’t have twitter (gasp! what?!) no worries- keep the same rules of 140 characters or less and post up your best reason as to why Sugared Magnolia should make you the next office hero. Open to those along the Wasatch (Utah) front – next time, out-of-staters!
Winner determined by most creative & who we deem the most worthy of the goods! Get those entries in by 11:59 pm Thursday, 2/24 to be in the running!
